Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Barcoding and Labeling Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships related to barcoding and labeling solutions, including hardware, software, and consumables. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of product identification systems and a proven track record in B2B sales.
The Sales Representative will work closely with clients to understand their operational needs and recommend appropriate labeling technologies, including barcode printers, scanners, RFID solutions, labels, and software platforms. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, consultative selling, and customer relationship management skills.
Job description
- Identify and engage new business opportunities within the barcoding and labeling sector.
- Sell barcode and labeling hardware, software, and consumables (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell, SATO, etc.).
- Consult with customers to understand workflow and recommend suitable labeling and barcoding solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations both in-person and virtually.
- Prepare and present pricing quotes, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, operations, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitors.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer events to promote products and services.
Minimum requirements
• Matric and tertiary education
• 3 years of proven sales experience in labelling, barcoding, or related industrial/technology sectors.
• Must have a VEHICLE.
• Strong understanding of barcode technology, label printing systems, and automation.
• Familiarity with industry-standard brands (e.g., Zebra, TSC, NiceLabel, BarTender).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
• Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn new products and solutions.
• Computer Literate
