To lead and manage the procurement function by sourcing cost-effective goods and services, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring uninterrupted operations across logistics, fleet, and warehouse activities. The role focuses on cost control, compliance, and strategic sourcing aligned with business objectives.
Job description

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier innovations

2. Supplier Management

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers (local and international)
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance tracking
  • Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments

3. Operational Procurement

  • Oversee purchasing of logistics-related goods and services such as:
    • Warehouse equipment and consumables
    • IT systems and operational tools
  • Ensure timely procurement to support operational continuity

4. Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Manage procurement budgets and track spend
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality
  • Analyse procurement data and report on savings and efficiencies

5. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage contract risks and supplier dependencies
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the procurement team
  • Set KPIs and monitor performance
  • Provide training and mentorship

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field
  • CIPS qualification (advantageous)
  • 4–5 years’ procurement experience (preferably in logistics, automotive, or supply chain environment)
  • 3 years in a management role
